The Metamorphosis of the Disney Girl

Eva De Dominici didn't start her career under that name. In 2005, Argentine television records listed her as Eva Quattrocchi when she was barely ten years old. She had just entered the machine of Chiquititas sin fin, the series that served as a training ground for half of the country's entertainment industry. But child stardom is often a trap that few escape without scars.

And she decided to get away quickly.

In 2007, she joined the cast of Patito Feo. She became a mass phenomenon, filling stadiums across Latin America. But while her co-stars followed the script of a pop star, she was after something else. In 2009, she decided her stage surname would be De Dominici. It was a tribute to her grandfather and also a way to break away from the Disney girl image that followed her.

Mud before the shine

The real risk came in 2016 with La fragilidad de los cuerpos. She played a journalist investigating suicides on the train tracks. It was her first encounter with adult drama and the darkness of the underworld. Audiences stopped seeing the blonde teen and got to know an actress with a hard stare.

In the Argentine industry, the stigma of the young star weighs like lead, and she needed to shake it off through broken characters. In 2018, she filmed Sangre Blanca, playing a mule who smuggles drugs inside her body across the border. Critics praised her ability to sustain tension in a hostile setting, and the shoot confirmed that her path would not lead through prime-time romantic comedies.

The American market doesn't give anything away.

Moving to Los Angeles

In 2019, she moved to Los Angeles. She didn't arrive with a contract in hand but with the goal of starting from scratch in a city that ignores foreign résumés. Her personal life crossed paths with her career when she began a relationship with Eduardo Cruz. Joining the family of Penélope Cruz gave her a level of visibility that the tabloids exploited, although she kept a low profile on movie sets.

Her first step in Hollywood was Cosmic Sin in 2021. She worked alongside Bruce Willis in a science fiction production that didn't receive good reviews. So she had to keep grinding through endless auditions. In 2022, she landed the role of Nadia in the Fox series The Cleaning Lady. She played the wife of a mobster with a mix of coldness and vulnerability that convinced the producers to give her a bigger role in the storyline.

The gamble paid off.

In 2024, she took part in Sayen: The Huntress, an Amazon Prime Video production shot in Chile. The project required intense physical training for real action scenes. De Dominici wrapped up that work cycle with a contract for the third season of The Cleaning Lady, where her character Nadia Morales is credited in a total of twenty-two episodes.

Filming of her final scenes in 2024 took place on location in New Mexico, directed by Timothy Busfield.
