India de Beaufort

India de Beaufort was born in Kingston upon Thames in 1987, surrounded by artists. Her parents were professional dancers, and she grew up understanding that show business is, above all, a job built on endurance.

In 1994 she appeared in a music video for Lulu and soon began working regularly in British television. Her first role with real weight was in The Basil Brush Show between 2003 and 2005.

It was a fast-track education in front of the cameras.

Her move into international film came in 2007 with Run Fatboy Run. Simon Pegg was her co-star in a comedy that grossed more than $33 million worldwide and helped her land a ticket to Los Angeles.

But moving to the United States meant going back to daily auditions. In 2010 she joined the cast of One Tree Hill, playing Miranda Stone during the series' seventh season.

Resistance on Television

The following years were a series of projects where consistency mattered more than big headlines. She appeared in Jane by Design in 2012 and built up credits in productions such as Chicago P.D. and Veep.

She settled into television as her natural habitat.

In 2020 she joined the cast of Zoey's Extraordinary Playlist. There, she was able to put her musical training to use on a set that demanded complex choreography and studio voice recordings.

Her profile has always combined acting with a vocal ability she developed during her training years in England. That mix is what allowed her to move between genres without being typecast in pure procedural drama.

The Prosecutor's Office

Her biggest media exposure came with the return of Night Court in 2023. She plays Olivia Moore, an ambitious and slightly neurotic prosecutor who serves as a counterpoint to the more straightforward comedy of the rest of the cast.

NBC renewed the series for a third season in 2024 after strong ratings in the North American market. This project has given her the contractual stability that is rarely found in the streaming industry.

And the bet on sitcoms paid off.

In 2022 she appeared in the Netflix film Slumberland alongside Jason Momoa, playing Ms. Arya. India de Beaufort lives in Los Angeles with her husband, actor Todd Grinnell, whom she married in 2015.
