Jackie Sandler

Beginnings on the Brazilian Runways

Jacqueline Samantha Titone was working as a model on the runways of Brazil when Rob Schneider spotted her. She wasn't looking for a film career, but fate had other plans in Los Angeles. In 1999, Schneider helped her land a small role in the comedy Deuce Bigalow: Male Gigolo, where she played Sally.

That same year, Schneider recommended her for another production that would change her personal and professional life. The film was Big Daddy. On set, she played a waitress who serves the lead a beer in a New York bar.

That's where she met Adam Sandler.

The chemistry between the two was instant and went beyond the script. Jackie decided to convert to Judaism before their wedding, and the couple finally married in June 2003. That event marked the start of one of the most steady and discreet collaborations in the American film industry.

The Family Factory Strategy

Jackie Sandler has appeared in more than 30 films produced by her husband's company, Happy Madison. She doesn't chase awards or big dramatic monologues. She prefers supporting roles and cameos that keep the shoot a strictly family affair.

In 2004 she appeared in 50 First Dates and later in Grown Ups during 2010. Critics often overlook her influence on the studio's creative decisions. Yet Adam Sandler has confirmed in several interviews that she is the one who encourages him to take on the riskiest roles of his career.

And the gamble paid off.

Her work also extends to voice acting in major animated productions. In 2012 she voiced Martha in the first Hotel Transylvania. She reprised the role in the sequels of 2015 and 2018, cementing her place in a franchise that has grossed more than $1,300 million worldwide.

The Shared Spotlight of 2023

In 2023 the actress took on a much more active role in front of the camera. She appeared in Not Another Bat Mitzvah! as Gabi Rodriguez. She worked on this production alongside her two daughters, Sadie and Sunny, who starred in the film under their parents' supervision.

That same year she joined the voice cast of Leo, an animated film in which she played Jay's mother. The movie was one of the most notable audience hits of the fall season on digital platforms. The Sandlers' work setup lets the whole family travel to filming locations together.

In March 2024, the science fiction drama Spaceman was released. Jackie Sandler plays the captain of the space mission in this feature. The project had an estimated budget of $40 million and was shot mainly on location in Prague and the surrounding area.
