Kelly Brook rose to fame in the British tabloids at a time when the industry was desperately looking for an alternative to the extreme thinness of the 1990s runways. Her most memorable role from this period came in 2010 with Piranha 3D, where she played Danni Sanz under the direction of Alexandre Aja.

Still, the movie industry never gave her the stability she was looking for, and offers in Los Angeles began to dry up after the failure of the comedy One Big Happy in 2015. In 2014, she published her autobiography, titled Kelly Brook: Close Up, and in the following years she focused on her passion for gardening and interior decorating. But she never fully left acting behind, and in 2018 she took part in the film Santet, produced in Indonesia.

In 2024, she renewed her contract with Global Media to keep hosting her daily radio show. Her social media now reaches 1.3 million followers, and her main activity focuses on advertising campaigns for British fashion brands. Filming of her latest movie appearance in the comedy The Mismatched was completed on a budget of less than two million euros.
