Madison Pettis walked into a Disney casting office at eight years old, with a mop of curly hair that filled half the room. She wasn't the typical catalog kid who recited lines from memory without understanding them. In 2007, she landed the role of Peyton Kelly in The Game Plan, and her life changed with a multimillion-dollar contract alongside Dwayne Johnson.
The industry struck gold.
Filming that movie required learning ballet and American football in equal measure. But the hardest part was handling sudden fame while shooting Cory in the House. There she played Sophie Martínez, the president's daughter, a role that kept her on the air until 2008.
During her years under contract with Disney Channel, workdays often ran past ten hours. Madison balanced the spotlight with private tutors on set. It was a earnings machine that ran with Swiss precision.
Many child actors fade away when their voices or looks change. Pettis dodged that bullet by turning to animated voice work. Between 2011 and 2015, she voiced Izzy in Jake and the Never Land Pirates. It was a smart move that kept her working without exposing her physical image during a difficult age.
But live-action film kept knocking on her door. In 2011, she starred in Life with Boys, a Canadian production that aired across much of the world. The script was simple and aimed at the young audience who already knew her from her Disney years.
The public grew up with her.
Turning twenty, she decided she no longer wanted to be just the pretty face on the poster. In 2021, she joined He's All That for Netflix, a project that aimed to cash in on nostalgia for the nineties. The film racked up millions of hours of viewing in its first week.
Streaming platforms want familiar faces who can bring social media followers with them. Madison had more than four million Instagram followers at the time. Fashion brands began to see her as an advertising asset beyond the screen.
In 2022, she starred in Margaux, a horror film about a murderous artificial intelligence. There was no trace of the Disney girl here. The role demanded a different physicality and a much darker tone than her earlier work.
And the gamble paid off.
The year 2023 brought Deltopia, a film in which she explored the transition to adulthood in a wild party setting. For this project, Pettis already handled production schedules with a poise unusual for her age. Her interest in the work behind the camera became evident in technical interviews.
Before signing any contract, she reviews the digital distribution clauses. She knows the real money isn't in the base salary but in exploitation percentages on streaming platforms. In 2024, her estimated net worth topped five hundred thousand dollars a year from image rights and television residuals alone.
Closing advertising deals with lingerie and cosmetics brands takes up much of her professional calendar. Madison Pettis coordinates these deals through her representation team in Los Angeles. Filming for her next independent feature is scheduled for the last quarter of 2025 on a three-million-dollar budget.
