Reiley McClendon started working before reaching driving age. By eight, they were already on film sets in Baton Rouge, and soon after landed in Los Angeles to break into the machinery of major productions. They weren't chasing the fleeting fame of teen-oriented projects. In 2000, they appeared in The Kid alongside Bruce Willis, and a year later played the young version of Danny Walker in Pearl Harbor.
Nobody handed him the transition.
Disney spotted him and made him one of its recurring faces during the first half of the 2000s. He starred in Eddie's Million Dollar Cook-Off in 2003, and that could have been a glass trap. Many kids from his generation disappeared after their voice changed. But McClendon decided that acting meant being present, not waiting for a leading role that would pull him out of reality.
And the gamble paid off.
In 2013, he made the leap to video games with Battlefield 4. He didn't limit himself to voice work, because the motion capture process for the character of Garrison demanded a physicality that television didn't always ask of him. It was a smart move. The dubbing market and digital technology let him diversify his résumé in years when supporting roles in series like The Fosters or Suits kept his name in industry credits.
During that period, they appeared in Days of Our Lives and General Hospital. These are productions that demand a grueling pace and a memory for lines that few film actors can handle. But McClendon soon understood that longevity in Hollywood depends on technical reliability. So they specialized in joining other people's productions, doing their part and fading away without making media noise.
It was the end of an era.
In 2016, he recorded Timeless, and a year later he joined the cast of The Resident. His face is one of those viewers recognize but can't always place in a specific movie. It's the triumph of the character actor over celebrity. In an industry obsessed with immediate impact, McClendon chose to build up a lot of air time in procedural television.
In 2023, they appeared in the thriller The Last Stop in Yuma County as Pete. It's a low-budget film that had a solid run on the festival circuit and shows their fit in raw genre cinema. Over 2024, they appeared in episodes of The Cleaning Lady and NCIS. Their strategy is to leave no gaps in the production calendar.
By 2025, his schedule keeps the same pattern of appearances in television series and independent projects. He doesn't give many interviews or fill his social media with personal content. He simply manages a career that now spans more than two decades of continuous work, without rehab stints or public scandals.
By 2024, McClendon had more than 70 professional credits on his IMDb profile.
