A Monster Calls

Connor is a 12-year-old boy who, after his parents' separation, becomes the man of the house and is in charge of running the household. With his young mother battling cancer, the little boy will try to overcome all his fears and phobias with the help of a monster. Fantasy, fairy tales and the boy's imaginary stories will collide not only with reality but also with his cold, calculating grandmother… With this new film, J.A. Bayona will close a trilogy about mother-child relationships that began with "The Orphanage" and continued with "The Impossible".
