The Photographer of Mauthausen

Francisco Boix, a Spanish photographer who fought in the Republican Army, arrives at the Mauthausen concentration camp in Austria. There, the SS assign him to photograph newly arrived prisoners, a task that forces him to look up close at the everyday horror of the place. Boix knows the images he takes could become proof of what happens behind its walls, and each developed print reminds him of the danger he faces. Weakened by hunger, he must decide how much to risk and whom to trust inside a compound where any mistake could cost him his life. His plan is to hide copies and negatives without anyone in the camp finding out.
