Trivia about The Innocent

The series is one of 14 Harlan Coben novels that Netflix will adapt into series after the author signed a deal with the platform in August 2018.
The secondary Marbella setting was recreated in Maresme, specifically in Sant Pol de Mar, and in Lloret de Mar.
The series' poster and trailer were promoted in Times Square in New York.
The main cast appeared as guests on shows such as El hormiguero, on Antena 3, to promote the series.
Harlan Coben visited the Barcelona set only once, in December 2019, and also took part in the editing, reviewing early cuts and suggesting changes.
Netflix announced that filming would begin on November 22, 2020, and that the writing team would consist of Oriol Paulo, Jordi Vallejo and Guillem Clua.
The series consists of eight episodes and had no second season approved, as it is based on a standalone novel by Harlan Coben.
