Kill Bill: The Whole Bloody Affair

Kill Bill is a two-part action thriller released in 2003 and 2004, respectively. It was written and directed by Quentin Tarantino. Kill Bill was originally planned for a single theatrical release, but at over four hours long, it was split into two volumes: Kill Bill: Volume 1, released in late 2003, and Kill Bill: Volume 2, released in early 2004. Both films were well received by critics, many noting their directing style and their homage to film genres such as Hong Kong martial arts movies, samurai films, spaghetti westerns, women-with-guns films, rape-revenge movies, and revenge films. In 2011, the two films were combined and, together with an extended animated sequence, premiered under the title Kill Bill: The Whole Bloody Affair at the New Beverly Cinema in Los Angeles, California.
