What Season 23 of Cuéntame cómo pasó

Season 23, the series finale, begins in 2001 with the Alcántaras gathered in Sagrillas for a funeral. The family is broken, and to explain why, the story flashes back to the winter of 1994, when everyone gets together for New Year's Eve except Carlos, who lives in New York. Mercedes then receives a medical checkup that leads her to rethink her life. Together with Antonio, she makes a decision that shakes the family and reopens old wounds, especially for Inés, who feels she has never been appreciated. The episodes then turn to Toni, María, Antonio, and Herminia, each dealing with their own pressures, between politics, work, and family.
