Synopsis of Dark
Children begin to disappear in the fictional German town of Winden. These disappearances bring to light the broken relationships, double lives, and dark pasts of four families who live there: the Kahnwalds, the Nielsens, the Tiedemanns, and the Dopplers. The story starts in 2019, but soon spans 1986 and 1953 thanks to time travel. Some characters discover a wormhole in the caves beneath the local nuclear plant, run by the influential Tiedemann family. Each family tries to understand what has happened, while their ties begin to surface and their lives start to unravel. The series, created by Baran bo Odar and Jantje Friese, streams on Netflix and stars Louis Hofmann.
