What Season 1 of Doctor Who
A Time Lord called the Doctor travels the universe aboard the TARDIS, a ship with a mind of its own that from the outside looks like a 1960s police box. In this season, the Ninth Doctor, played by Christopher Eccleston, crosses paths with Rose Tyler, a young Earth woman who gradually gets drawn into his world. Together they visit the past, the future and far-off places, and face a variety of enemies. Adam Mitchell, a brilliant young man, joins them for a brief stretch. Later, Captain Jack Harkness, a con artist and former time agent, joins the crew. Along the way, the phrase "Big bad wolf" keeps appearing in every era.
