What Season 1 of Eastbound & Down

Kenny Powers was a pitcher in the Major Leagues until his self-destructive temper forced him into retirement. Now he's washed up and returns to Shelby, North Carolina, the town he left behind years ago. He takes a job as a substitute P.E. teacher at the high school he attended as a kid. His goal is to win back his lost fame and get back in the game, but his own actions keep sabotaging his plans again and again. He wreaks havoc at the school, around town and at his brother Dustin's house, where he moves in. He also plans to win back April, his high school sweetheart, who is engaged to the principal, Terrence Cutler.
