What Season 2 of Extras
Andy Millman finally premieres his own sitcom, "When the Whistle Blows," but the praise doesn't exactly pour in. Critics tear it apart, yet the public responds, and Andy starts getting recognized on the street and in bars. Fame brings new problems, because the British press goes after him, and he needs a public relations expert. Meanwhile, he keeps flattering celebrities to get a few seconds in front of the camera, although his blunders usually end in getting fired. Maggie Jacobs, his best friend and fellow extra, goes with him to the shoots. She means well, but she doesn't always pick up on social cues. Darren gets an ultimatum: land a meeting with Robert De Niro or lose his job.
