What Season 1 of GLOW

Los Angeles, 1985. Ruth Wilder is an actress who keeps getting rejected at every audition. Fed up with waiting, she accepts a tryout without knowing what it involves. It turns out to be GLOW, a women's wrestling show directed by Sam Sylvia, a cynical director who uses unorthodox methods. Ruth, who is very traditional and idealistic about her craft, clashes with him. To make matters worse, Sam has hired Debbie Eagan, Ruth's former best friend and a retired soap opera actress. The season follows a group of women who don't fit the mold and must become wrestlers.
