What Season 1 of Humans

In the near future, the suburbs of London are filled with synths, humanoid robots that work as household staff. They are almost indistinguishable from people, although they lack consciousness and feelings. Their arrival transforms social life, since they replace human workers more efficiently and at a lower cost. The Hawkins family is at the center of the story. Laura, a lawyer and mother of three, distrusts these machines, while Joe buys a synth to help keep the house running. Their teenage daughter, Mattie, is outraged by the breakdown of the family and begins to question everything. Katherine Parkinson and Gemma Chan lead the cast.
