Synopsis of I'm in the Band

Tripp Campbell is 15 years old and dreams of showing off his guitar talent by joining a rock band. A radio contest gives him the chance to have dinner with Iron Weasel, his favorite group, a trio that was popular years ago and now barely gets gigs. Tripp impresses the members and ends up taking the lead guitar spot. Derek Jupiter, a cocky singer and keyboardist, Burger Pitt, an always upbeat bassist, and Ash, a sweet but naive drummer, want to get back on stage, but they're tired of living in their van. When Tripp offers them the guest room in his home, the boy has to live with three adults who fear his presence will cost them their appeal. Created by Michael B. Kaplan and Ron Rappaport, the series airs on Disney XD and is set in Los Angeles.

With an estimated 863,000 viewers, the premiere was the most-watched original series on Disney XD, including the Toon Disney era.
Caitlyn Taylor Love and Greg Baker announced on Twitter on March 15, 2011 that the second season would be the show's last.
It was the first original Disney XD series produced by It's a Laugh Productions.
Fans of the series on Twitter, Facebook, YouTube and deviantART posted messages asking for it to continue, and the result was an "on Hiatus" status.
Production on the second season reopened casting calls in Los Angeles for episodic roles, extras and guest celebrities, according to the series' production information.
