Synopsis of In Love All Over Again

Created by Carlos Montero for Netflix, the series begins in Madrid in September 2003. Irene (Georgina Amorós) has just arrived in the capital with a clear plan: to direct films and take on the world. In the city, she meets her best friends, and among them is Julio (Franco Masini), a guy who, in Irene's eyes, is the perfect lead for her films. What she isn't sure of yet is whether he could also be the lead in her own life. Irene wants to find her place in the world, but life has other plans for her and for those around her.

Trivia about In Love All Over Again

Before it was titled In Love All Over Again, the series was called Meet Cute, and filming had already begun in late 2021.

Directing duties for the series are shared by three people: Mateo Gil, Carlota Pereda and Ginesta Guindal Forgas.

The series was canceled on July 9, 2023 and was left unfinished after one season of eight episodes.

Carlos Montero drew on his memories as a Audiovisual Communication student at the Complutense University of Madrid, including the years he shared an apartment and classes with Alejandro Amenábar and Mateo Gil.

Georgina Amorós auditioned seven times before landing the role of Irene, after the first audition especially impressed Carlos Montero.

Franco Masini sent a recorded audition from Argentina and flew to Spain two days later for an in-person audition with Georgina Amorós, who had already been cast.

Alejandro Amenábar appears in the series in a cameo related to a Goya Award, while Mateo Gil directed several episodes.
