What Season 1 of Masters of Horror

Masters of Horror is an anthology created by Mick Garris for Showtime, which aired between 2005 and 2007. Each week brought a one-hour film directed by well-known names in the genre. There is no storyline tying the episodes together, so each story has its own characters, and viewers can watch them in any order. The leads change completely: a driver who crashes on a mountain road, a student who rents an old house to finish his thesis, a cop who rescues a deformed young woman, or two killers chasing the same victim. The conflicts vary too, from forests inhabited by a terrifying creature to soldiers killed in Iraq who come back to life.
