To find her they hire American gunslinger Ethan Chandler, who hides a dangerous secret, and recruit young doctor Victor Frankenstein, arrogant and awkward in social situations. Later, Professor Van Helsing joins them. The search pits them against supernatural forces and figures from Victorian horror literature, such as Dorian Gray.
