The release of the documentary American Nightmare: Becoming Cody Rhodes in 2023 marked his definitive graduation as a content producer. On this project he was not only the subject of the story but also directly supervised how the fall and rise of his own public image were structured.

Signed production deals with streaming platforms to ensure the rights to his image didn't depend on third parties. This strategic move in the boardrooms is what truly sets him apart from other celebrity profiles that are only chasing screen time.

In 2024 his media presence reached a peak of commercial saturation that led him to star in major advertising campaigns for logistics and food brands. These deals often include final-cut approval clauses that Runnels negotiates personally.
