Emma Myers

Learning Outside the System

Emma Myers grew up in Orlando without ever setting foot in a traditional classroom. Her parents chose homeschooling, and the lack of a rigid school structure allowed her to focus on dance and acting from the age of eight.

It was a risky bet that took a decade to pay off.

In 2010, she made a brief appearance in the series The Glades. Years of quiet auditions and minor roles in productions that barely made a commercial impact followed. But the industry doesn't run on merit so much as pure endurance.

She shot A Taste of Christmas in 2020 and Girl in the Basement in 2021. These were paycheck jobs that helped cover her bills in Los Angeles while she waited for a real break that would change her professional status.

The Burst of Color at Nevermore

The casting for the series Wednesday changed her career in 2022. Tim Burton was looking for a bright counterpoint to the seriousness of Jenna Ortega, and Myers came across on camera with an energy that never felt forced.

She played Enid Sinclair, a werewolf unable to transform who lived surrounded by plush toys and pastel colors. The chemistry between the two actresses carried much of the storytelling interest in the first season.

She racked up millions of social media followers in just a few weeks.

Myers isn't the typical Hollywood star who shows up for industry parties. She'd rather talk about her obsession with K-pop and the group Seventeen than the technical ins and outs of filming.

That honesty helped her connect with a young audience looking for less manufactured role models. In 2023 she starred in the Netflix comedy Family Switch alongside Jennifer Garner.

It was a commercial project designed for the algorithm.

But she used the shoot to learn the mechanics of big-budget physical comedy. Technique is refined on film sets, not in elite acting schools.

The Leap to Full-Fledged Stardom

In 2024, she took on the role of Pip Fitz-Amobi in the television adaptation of A Good Girl's Guide to Murder. The series was filmed in the United Kingdom and marked her first major challenge as the lead of a young adult mystery franchise.

Critics praised her ability to carry the weight of the plot without leaning on well-known supporting actors. Her name soon began to be linked to massive-scale projects beyond the home streaming world.

The shoot demanded twelve-hour days in the British rain.

She has the release of the Minecraft movie directed by Jared Hess scheduled for 2025. It is a Warner Bros production with a budget of over $150 million.

The contract for the second season of Wednesday includes a strict confidentiality clause about the production schedule in Ireland.
