Finn Little

Australian mud

Finn Little was born in Brisbane in 2006. He had no prior acting training when he auditioned for Storm Boy. And he won the lead role over hundreds of children with much more experience.

It was a blind bet by the production.

In 2019, he shared the screen with Geoffrey Rush. Australian critics noticed his ability to hold long shots without blinking. But his real breakthrough came far from his country's beaches.

Taylor Sheridan saw him in an audition video and decided that kid had to cross the pond. He was looking for someone who didn't look like a kid from an advertising catalog.

The Sheridan factory

In 2021, he played Connor in Those Who Wish Me Dead. He shot real action scenes amid flames and ash alongside Angelina Jolie. She herself stood out in several promotional interviews, noting that Little never complained despite the harsh weather conditions.

The Los Angeles industry took notice of his physical endurance.

Shortly after, he joined the world of Yellowstone. His character (Carter) first appeared in the fourth season, which aired in 2021. The writers created a gruff orphan role for him that fit the dry aesthetic of the Montana ranch.

During 2022 and 2023, his physical change was so noticeable that the show's fans filled forums with theories. The actor grew nearly eight inches between seasons. So Sheridan had to adjust the storylines to justify his new size.

Because the teenager who arrived on set no longer fit into the clothes of the child they rescued in the story.

Breaking into the adult market

In 2024, he appeared in the thriller The Surfer alongside Nicolas Cage. Filming took place in Western Australia under extreme temperatures. His contract for this production included specific clauses for professional surf training.

By the end of 2024, his profile with talent agencies no longer appeared in the child actor category. Little came of age that year. His profile began competing directly with adult character actors in the English-speaking market.
