Kelly Rohrbach didn't start out rehearsing monologues in front of a mirror, but hitting golf balls on the courses of Connecticut. She had a sports scholarship at Georgetown University and a swing that promised a professional career on the NCAA circuit. She studied theater at the London Academy of Music and Dramatic Art because the stage appealed to her more than morning tournaments.

But movies weighed more heavily than the golf course.

In 2015, Sports Illustrated named her Rookie of the Year after her appearance in the swimsuit special. That endorsement deal accelerated her entry into the Los Angeles industry. Before landing meatier roles, she appeared in one-off episodes of shows like Two and a Half Men or Rizzoli & Isles, where she had only a handful of lines.

The Commercial Impact of the Red Tide

In 2017, she played C.J. Parker in the film version of Baywatch. The challenge was enormous because she had to take on the character that made Pamela Anderson a global phenomenon in the 1990s. The movie had a budget of $69 million and aimed for a mix of raunchy humor and beach action.

Rohrbach shared the screen with Dwayne Johnson and Zac Efron on a shoot that demanded military-level physical preparation. She trained every day before sunrise to meet the production's standards. But the film received scathing reviews from the specialized press, which failed to grasp the parodic tone of the project.

And box office results in the United States weren't what she had hoped for either.

Despite the media noise, the actress kept a low profile after the premiere. In 2019, she worked under the direction of Woody Allen on the film A Rainy Day in New York. There, she played Terry in a cast that included Timothée Chalamet and Elle Fanning. The production was mired in legal controversies that delayed its release in several international markets.

Private Life as a Walton

In 2021, she joined the cast of Yellowstone for its second season. She played Cassidy Reid, a lawyer and former rodeo queen who tried to advise the character played by Kevin Costner. Her time in Taylor Sheridan gave audiences a different side of her, far from her image as a swimsuit model.

Discretion won out over the photographers' flashes.

In June 2019, she married Steuart Walton, heir to the Walmart fortune, in a private ceremony in Florida. From that moment on, her public appearances dropped off sharply as she focused on personal projects and her family life. She rarely shares details of her home life on social media and doesn't take part in the usual Hollywood promotional interview circuit.

Her last credited role in a major production was in 2024 with the project Wichita. Her wedding to Walton took place at a property valued at 12.5 million dollars by the ocean.
