His work on the blockbuster 2012 in 2009 was one of those experiences where the actor is just a tiny cog in a giant digital machine. He collected his paycheck and went back to local TV series. In 2020, he appeared in The Good Doctor, playing a father in a desperate situation (a much drier register than his usual work).

He appeared in The Flash during 2021, playing Mayor Paulson. This is the kind of job that keeps a résumé alive in the casting databases of Los Angeles agencies. But he prefers to keep his home base in Canada for logistical costs and quality of life.
