It's all the things you've always wanted to do... and with the person you've always wanted to do them with!

In New York, Holly Golightly is a socialite who lives life on her own terms and dreams of becoming an actress. Her most striking habit is having breakfast in front of the Tiffany & Co. jewelry store window, something she does as casually as she moves through the city. One day, when she returns to her building, she can't find her keys and has to call the landlord to let her in. Around the same time, Paul Varjak, a struggling writer who has yet to publish anything, moves into the building. Paul survives thanks to a married woman who supports him, and his aimless life clashes with the independence of his new neighbor. Directed by Blake Edwards, the film stars Audrey Hepburn and George Peppard in the lead roles.

Trivia about Breakfast at Tiffany's

Audrey Hepburn was 31 years old during filming, while the Holly of Truman Capote's novel is 19.
Marilyn Monroe turned down the role of Holly on the advice of Lee Strasberg, who warned that playing a call girl would damage her image, and chose to shoot The Misfits instead.
The original director, John Frankenheimer, spent three months working with Axelrod on the project before being replaced by Blake Edwards, at the request of Hepburn's agent, who wanted a more high-profile director.
Paramount's press notes announced a Japanese comedian called "Ohayo Arigatou" as the actor who would play Yunioshi, a role that was ultimately played by Mickey Rooney.
