Patxi is a blacksmith who lives apart in the forest of Álava in the 19th century. He is a shrewd man, and his trade is good for more than forging iron: he keeps a demon locked up in his house, holding it captive and subjecting it to constant torture. His goal is simple and allows no mistakes. The devil must remain locked away, far from the world, and any carelessness could be fatal. Patxi lives on alert for every noise and every door, aware that the balance he has built is fragile. Kandido Uranga plays the blacksmith in this horror and fantasy film directed by Paul Urkijo, shot entirely in Basque.
