Patria

Patria is a historical drama series created by Aitor Gabilondo and aired on HBO España, based on the novel of the same name by Fernando Aramburu. Bittori and Miren were best friends for years, until ETA terrorism tore them apart and put their families on opposite sides. The story takes place in Gipuzkoa and centers on Txato, a Basque businessman and Bittori's husband, who starts receiving threats. From that moment on, the daily lives of both families begin to crumble. The first episode introduces the characters, their fears and the pressure of living in an environment where conflict permeates everything. Elena Irureta and Ane Gabarain lead the main cast.
