Trivia about Welcome to Eden

Filming began on February 22, 2021 in Teruel, Barcelona, Alicante and Lanzarote, and in April it moved to San Sebastián.

Its arrival on the platform was pushed back slightly to make room for Los herederos de la tierra and the fifth season of Élite.

Netflix announced a second season renewal on May 25, 2022, with Carlos Torres and Nona Sobo joining the cast.

The series was canceled on July 7, 2023, after two seasons.

In its premiere week, «Welcome to Eden» topped Netflix's global list of non-English TV series with 62.42 million hours viewed and appeared in the Top 10 in 82 countries.

Carlos Soroa, who plays Eloy, was born deaf and has Spanish Sign Language as his first language, a detail noted in the series' international profile.

Albert Baró explained that each episode of about 50 minutes was shot in a ten-hour day, a production pace he compared to that of a daily series.
