What Season 1 of Cheers

Cheers is set in a Boston bar that gives the series its name, where a group of regulars comes to drink, relax and forget their troubles. Sam Malone, a former Red Sox pitcher, owns the place, tends bar and is a lady's man. His big conflict comes with Diane Chambers, an intellectual waitress who agrees to work there and constantly clashes with Sam, the everyday guy. That rivalry drives the comedy. Around them move other regulars like Carla, Norm and Coach, each with their own entanglements, from complaints about the Red Sox to a debt of $8,000.
