What Season 2 of Columbo

The second season of Columbo follows the Los Angeles homicide lieutenant played by Peter Falk, who wears a rumpled beige raincoat and smokes cigars. His absent-minded air leads suspects to underestimate him. In each episode, viewers know from the start who committed the crime, so the suspense isn't about figuring it out. The conflict arises when a confident, often well-off and powerful author crosses paths with Columbo's seemingly innocent questions. He gathers evidence while the suspect tries to throw him off the trail and cover their tracks. The cases include a kidnapping, a trust fund run by an orchid enthusiast, and a trip to England where he gets caught up in another investigation.
