What Season 8 of Columbo

Lieutenant Columbo, a homicide detective with the Los Angeles Police Department, investigates cases in which the viewer knows the killer from the very beginning. The focus is on the duel between that murderer, often a wealthy and self-assured person, and a detective in a beige raincoat with a cigar in hand who asks seemingly innocent questions. Columbo gathers evidence while the suspect tries to throw him off the trail and erase their tracks. The episodes lead into a world of magic and parapsychology, a film director who is an expert in special effects, a sex therapist with a disguise scheme, and a private military foundation run by Frank Brailie, under the suspicion of a general in a wheelchair.
