What Season 7 of Columbo

Each story in this season reveals the killer from the start, so the appeal isn't in figuring out who did it. Lieutenant Columbo, a homicide detective with the Los Angeles Police Department, played by Peter Falk, takes on self-assured killers, often wealthy and powerful people. He wears a rumpled beige raincoat, smokes cigars and seems absent-minded, which leads his suspects to underestimate him. While they try to cover their tracks, he asks seemingly innocent questions until he gathers the evidence. The culprits include a writer obsessed with avenging a loss, a restaurant critic, a television executive, a charming psychologist and an Irish poet involved in arms trafficking.
