What Season 1 of Dawson's Creek

Set in the fictional town of Capeside, Massachusetts, this series was created by Kevin Williamson for The WB. Dawson Leery is fifteen, introspective, and dreams of directing movies like Steven Spielberg. His lifelong friend Joey Potter sneaks into his room to watch films, and Pacey Witter, his coworker at the video store, rounds out the group, constantly bickering with her. The arrival of Jen Lindley, who moves from New York to live with her grandparents, shakes up the trio's balance. Dawson and Joey drift between friendship and an attraction neither of them quite admits. Everyone faces family drama, peer pressure and self-esteem doubts as they make the leap from high school to college.
