Synopsis of Ed, Edd n Eddy

Ed, Edd n Eddy is an animated comedy created by Danny Antonucci and aired on Cartoon Network. Its protagonists are three preteens, Ed, Edd n Eddy, whom the rest of the neighborhood calls "the Eds." They live on a dead-end street in Peach Creek, a fictional town, during what seems like an endless summer vacation. The three share a love of giant candy and a determination to make money, so they come up with schemes to swindle their neighbors. Eddy acts as the unofficial leader, though his plans often backfire. The kids on the cul-de-sac don't accept them into their group, leaving the Eds relegated to the status of outcasts.

Trivia about Ed, Edd n Eddy

"The Best Day Edder" was promoted as the series finale in April 2007, but the following month "The Eds are Coming" arrived as part of an alien-themed event.

"Boiling lines" are created by tracing the same drawing three times on separate sheets of paper, which makes the outlines shimmer as the frames play in sequence.

The characters have multicolored tongues because Antonucci saw his son and his friends with differently colored tongues after eating different candies.

Nazz had three different voice actresses: Tabitha St. Germain in season one, Jenn Forgie in season three, and Erin Fitzgerald in seasons 2 and 4 through 6.

Antonucci insisted that Plank be treated like a piece of wood, and that only Jonny's imagination could bring him to life.

In August 2002, the Museum of Television & Radio in New York included the episode "An Ed Is Born" in the special "Cartoon Power!" to celebrate the channel's tenth birthday.

Danny Antonucci initially sold the series to Nickelodeon but turned down the offer because it would have meant giving up creative control. He later reached a deal with Cartoon Network to produce the show on his own terms.

For the series' 25th anniversary, Antonucci ruled out taking part in a reboot and said that bringing the show back would likely "fail miserably," though the network could develop spin-offs featuring some of the characters.
