Synopsis of Rugrats

Tommy Pickles is a brave, adventurous one-year-old who lives in California with a group of friends his own age. Chuckie, a two-year-old redhead with glasses who is very insecure, is his best friend. The twins Phil and Lil, Tommy's neighbors, and his cousin Angelica, a spoiled and very bossy girl, round out the gang. Since they barely understand the world around them, their imagination turns every everyday task into a great adventure. Trouble starts when they misunderstand the adults, whom they see as mysterious, eccentric characters. Angelica also tends to give misleading translations of what the grownups say, which makes every situation more complicated. The series is built on the clash between what the little ones think they understand and what is really happening. It was created by Arlene Klasky, Gábor Csupó and Paul Germain, and airs on Nickelodeon.
