What Season 1 of Inventing Anna

New York, in Manhattan's high society. Anna Sorokin, born in Russia, poses as Anna Delvey, a German socialite and heiress to a great fortune. With that invented identity she infiltrates the city's most exclusive circles, wins the trust of those around her and plans to swindle them out of millions. Journalist Vivian Kent investigates her case after the young woman is held in pretrial detention on charges of aggravated theft. Vivian turns to old friends, to Chase, Anna's former boyfriend, and to Nora, a wealthy entrepreneur, because the protagonist's coldness keeps her from making progress. Julia Garner plays Anna, and the cast includes Anna Chlumsky, Arian Moayed and Katie Lowes.
