What Season 5 of MacGyver

MacGyver, played by Richard Dean Anderson, works for the Phoenix Foundation from Los Angeles and collaborates with the Department of External Services. The season kicks off when an old archaeologist friend asks for his help with a map that leads to Holy Rose, an elderly bomb disposal expert. The search takes the two of them through London and France, where they run into a jewelry tycoon who is determined to kill them. Then, a defector under the foundation's protection, kidnappings of celebrities and the children of bosses, and a drug cartel force MacGyver to improvise with whatever he has on hand. His background in physics and his time in Vietnam shape every decision, always with the goal of avoiding violence.
