Mako: Island of Secrets

Five years after the events of H2O, a group of born mermaids returns to the waters around Mako Island after a long absence. Three of them, Lyla, Nixie and Sirena, are tasked with guarding the island during the full moon. Zac Blakely, a local teenager, decides to camp on Mako with his friend Cameron, unaware that the three young women are watching them from the water. That night, when the full moon rises over the island, Zac is drawn to the Moon Pool and is transformed into a merman. Lyla seeks to remove the boy's powers, and the series explores the clash between the world of the mermaids and the everyday life of a young surfer. Created by Jonathan M. Shiff, it airs on Disney Channel and Netflix, with Lucy Fry, Ivy Latimer and Amy Ruffle in the main cast.
