The Return of Sherlock Holmes
What Season 3 of Sherlock Holmes
Season 3 is titled "The Return of Sherlock Holmes," a reference to the second collection of Doyle stories on which its episodes are based. Three years after being presumed dead, Holmes returns to England and must thwart a murder plot hatched by a man working for the late Professor Moriarty. Edward Hardwicke replaces David Burke as Dr. Watson. Cases come from a preparatory school, from the prime minister and from families with secrets, including a missing boy and a stolen diplomatic letter. Holmes needs constant challenges to avoid falling into depression or drug use, and Jeremy Brett plays the detective in each of them.
