What Season 1 of Stranger Things

In the small town of Hawkins, Indiana, life drags on in 1983 with little excitement. Nearby, the Hawkins National Laboratory presents itself as a scientific research center, but in secret it experiments with the paranormal, sometimes on people. Unknowingly, it has opened a portal to a hostile dimension called the Upside Down, and its effects begin to reach the townspeople. When Will Byers disappears, his mother Joyce, police chief Jim Hopper and a group of volunteers search for him. Meanwhile, Mike, Dustin and Lucas find a girl with psychokinetic powers who has just escaped from the laboratory. The Duffer Brothers weave both storylines together in this Netflix series.
