It's the summer of 1985 in Hawkins, and the town tries to live normally. Young people find summer jobs, a first love blossoms, and a new shopping mall opens its doors. Calm is shattered when Dustin's radio picks up a Russian broadcast and Will senses something is wrong. Nancy and Jonathan follow that lead, Joyce and Hopper return to the laboratory, and Steve and Robin join a secret mission. Mike, Dustin and Lucas, with the gang back together, face a danger they already know. Eleven and Max worry about Billy, whose visions are disturbing.
