What Season 1 of The Witcher

Geralt of Rivia is a witcher who kills monsters for money, a trade he was mutated into as a child. The continent is at war because the Empire of Nilfgaard wants to expand its borders. Among the refugees is Princess Ciri, whom Nilfgaard relentlessly pursues because of a secret power she possesses. Fate binds the witcher and the young woman together, and Geralt becomes her protector. Yennefer of Vengerberg rounds out the main cast. The season moves across three timelines, each set in a different era, in a world where men sometimes prove more ruthless than the creatures they hunt. Henry Cavill, Freya Allan and Anya Chalotra bring these characters to life.
