Synopsis of Zorro

Trivia about Zorro

The Sioux City theme park in Gran Canaria closed to the public for the entire shoot so the main sets could be built.

TVE announced that the series would air on La 1 on January 28, 2024, just three days after its premiere on Prime Video in Spain.

Secuoya Studios announced on January 28, 2021 that it had acquired the rights to develop a series based on El Zorro, a character created by Johnston McCulley.

Adrián Ruiz of Vertele felt the series flaunts its big budget through its striking visual production, although he criticized its sound design.

Filming lasted eight months, from July 2022 to February 2023, and took place across locations in Las Palmas, Arucas, Gáldar, San Bartolomé de Tirajana and Telde, as well as Nublo Park and the Tejeda caldera.

The broadcast of the first three episodes on La 1 drew 1,478,000 viewers and a 12.8% share, but ratings fell to 291,000 viewers and a 4.6% share for the final two episodes.

Some of the actors received specific training in horseback riding and handling whips, lances and axes before filming; Dalia Xiuhcoatl completed this preparation to play Nah-Lin.
