In 2019, he decided it was time to break away from his nice-guy image. His role as Ransom Drysdale in Knives Out let him show off expensive wool sweaters and a despicable attitude that delighted critics. The film grossed more than 310 million dollars worldwide.

The actor knows a famous name sells, but the script is what keeps a career alive. In 2023 he starred in Ghosted for a streaming platform hoping to recapture the chemistry of classic action comedies. The reception was cold, though, a reminder that audiences don't always forgive a lack of substance.

The Numbers Behind the Boston Profile

In 2020, he launched the platform A Starting Point to narrow the gap between voters and politicians in the United States. He wasn't looking to make money from this project. He wanted to use his influence to encourage civilized debate without the usual shouting of social media.

In 2024 he took part in filming Red One alongside Dwayne Johnson. This Amazon MGM Studios production had a 250 million dollar budget due to production delays and logistical problems.

Success never kept him up at night.

For the shoot of The Invisible Agent in 2022, the actor negotiated a salary of 20 million dollars. The contract included specific clauses on the use of his image in merchandise and international distribution rights.
