Synopsis of Defending Jacob

Andy Barber is an assistant district attorney in Newton, Massachusetts, and lives with his wife, Laurie, and their 14-year-old son, Jacob. When a classmate of the boy is found dead, the family is suddenly forced to face the accusation that Jacob could be responsible, a claim that calls into question everything they thought they knew about their home. Andy knows the justice system from the other side of the courtroom and must decide how far he is willing to go to protect his son as the case unfolds. Created by Mark Bomback and aired on Apple TV, the miniseries stars Chris Evans, Michelle Dockery and Jaeden Martell.
