One night a year, we invite you to join our tradition.

Two years have passed since former police sergeant Leo Barnes (Frank Grillo) chose not to take revenge on the man who killed his son. Now Barnes leads the security team tasked with protecting Senator Charlie Roan (Elizabeth Mitchell), a presidential candidate who calls for ending the annual Purge, a night each year when all criminal activity, including murder, is permitted. Roan believes this practice mainly harms the needy and the poor.
