Finch

Tom Hanks stars as Finch, a robotics engineer and one of the few survivors of a solar catastrophe that has turned the world into a wasteland. But Finch, who has spent a decade living in an underground bunker, has built his own world, which he shares with his dog, Goodyear, and with a robot, played by Caleb Landry Jones, that he created to look after Goodyear when he can no longer do so himself. When the trio sets out on a perilous journey across the desolate American West, Finch works to show his creation, whom he named Jeff, the joy and wonder of being alive. Their trip is full of challenges and humor, since Finch finds it just as hard to get Jeff and Goodyear to get along as he does to deal with the dangers of this new world.
