One night can cost you everything.

Evan Webber is a架构 architect happily married to Karen, a successful artist. It is Father's Day weekend, and the family heads to the beach, but Evan stays home. He has unfinished work and a shoulder injury that requires him to wait for a home visit from his physical therapist, Vivian. Before leaving, Karen asks him to deliver one of her sculptures to Louis, her assistant, who needs to get it to an art gallery. Evan wants to get his work and his medical appointment done without anything going wrong. Directed by Eli Roth and starring Keanu Reeves, the film opens on this calm day in a house that, for now, is empty of family.

Trivia about Knock Knock

Keanu Reeves was cast as Evan Webber on April 4, 2014, and Ignacia Allamand later joined the cast.

Lionsgate acquired the distribution rights to the film three days after its premiere at the Sundance Film Festival, on January 23, 2015.

The filmmaker said that shooting in Chile was easier than doing so in the United States, and filming took place in Santiago, Chile.

Eli Roth wanted the film to have a comedic approach, with physical humor also playing a part.

Jeff Bond of Geek Monthly praised Keanu Reeves's performance and said that his work makes the film easily the best of Roth's career.

One scene shot during production required Keanu Reeves to do two takes because the first one didn't turn out as expected; in addition, the cast worked several long nights on set.

The film grossed approximately $6.3 million worldwide on an estimated budget of $2 million.
